Greg Butauski is a Certified Master Carver by the National Ice Carving Association and has been carving ice for 25 years. He is the owner and mastermind behind Rock On Ice in Sunbury, Ohio. Greg travels all over the country and even internationally, carving temporary works of art out of ice, fruits, vegetables, sand, cheese and yes, pumpkins. His clients include major corporations, restaurants, sports arenas, zoos and cities of all sizes.
Greg Demaline is an accomplished carver whose career began 15 years at Elegant Ice Creations in Broadview Heights, Ohio. When he’s not working as a professional ice sculptor, he loves carving pumpkins and is working to expand his skills with other food mediums. Greg is excited to carve in Holland for the first time at this year’s Fall Fest.
Chad Hartson is a former World Champion ice sculptor who owns and operates Ice Creations in Napoleon, Ohio, the largest ice facility in the entire state. Chad has won a multitude of local and regional ice sculpting competitions. Not only is he champion at ice sculpting, he is also a highly skilled pumpkin carver, food carver and sand sculptor and has appeared on the Food Network’s “Cake Wars.”
Danny Kissel of Newville, Pennsylvania is a self-taught artist who developed his own unique style across various mediums, including pumpkin carving, chainsaw wood sculpture, ice carving, sand sculpture, graphite portraits and professional airbrushing. Kissel appeared on Season 4 of “Halloween Wars” on the Food Network and his carvings have earned him features in a variety of publications.
Lauren Klapec is currently the Garde Manager Chef at Orchard Lake Country Club in West Bloomfield, Michigan where she has worked for over five years. She has been carving professionally for over six years. She began her journey as a carver in the ice world as a member of the award-winning Oakland Community College team, and now also carves fruit and pumpkins too. Lauren is excited to be returning for her second Fall Fest!
Jay Leahy is a fierce competitive chainsaw carver and sculptor in various mediums, including ice, wood, sand, pumpkins vegetables and snow! After several years of carving for others, he decided to form his own company, Leahy Legacy Custom Carvings. Street art is a passion for Jay and he loves to entertain crowds at fairs, festivals and private events with his remarkable carving skills.
Oba Rhodes Jordan aka “The Sculptornator” hails from Cincinnati, Ohio. Having a lifelong passion for creating art out of food, he formed Edible Sculpted Creations as a full-time business venture two years ago. As part of Edible Sculpted Creations, you can find Oba carving fruits and vegetables at local TV stations, fundraising events, festivals and more.
Ryse Swanson is from White Lake, Michigan and works as a Pastry Chef at Walnut Creek Country Club in South Lyon. She won America Culinary Federation Michigan Pastry Chef of the year 2018 and Central Regional Pastry Chef of the Year 2019. She and her husband, Robbie, have two wonderful and sassy daughters, Maisie 2, and Clara 3.5 months. She is very excited to carve in Holland for the first time!
